 Singular number কে Plural Number এ পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম-

Rule 11:
কতগুলো compound noun কে s যোগে plural করতে হয়।

Singular	Plural
Man-servant	Men-servants
Lord-justice	Lords-justices
Woman-servant	Women-servants
Knight-templar	Knights-templars

Rule 12:
কতগুলো compound noun এর শেষের noun টির সাথে s যোগ করে plural করতে হয়।

Bookcase	Bookcases
Inspector-general	Inspector-generals
Showcase	Showcases
Armchair	Armchairs

Rule 13:
কিছু noun এর singular ও plural একই হয়ে থাকে

Singular	Plural
Sheep	Sheep
Pair	Pair
Swine	Swine
Deer	Deer
Dozen	Dozen
Gross	Gross

Rule 14:
কিছু collective noun এর গঠন singular এর মত হলেও এগুলো plural হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন – poultry, people, cattle, gentry, public, vermin, majority, mankind.

Rule 15:
কিছু common noun এর গঠন singular এর মত হলেও এগুলো plural হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন – the rich, the poor, the virtuous, the pious.
- The rich are not always happy. ( Rich is not হয়নি)
- The virtuous are blessed.

Rule 16:
কিছু noun plural এর মত হলেও এগুলো মূলত singular হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয় এবং এদের পরে verb এর singular form ব্যবহার হয়।
যেমন – physics, mathematics, politics, economics, wages, athletics, news, optics, statistics.
- Mathematics is hard subject to me.
- This news is is important.

Rule 17:
কিছু noun সর্বদা singular হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
যেমন –
Furniture, alphabet, brick, business, hair, information, scenery, machinery, beard, issue, poetry, progress, money, abuse, expenditure, baggage.
- Her hair is very black.
- Money is not a matter.

Rule 18:
কিছু noun সর্বদা plural হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। এদের কোন singular হয় না।
যেমন-
রোগের নাম – Measels(হাম), Mumps(গাল-গলা ফুলা)
খেলার নাম – Billiards, Draughts.
পোশাকের নাম- trousers, drawers(দুপাবিশিষ্ট পোশাক)
একই রূপ বিশিষ্ট/ জোড়া – spectacles, scissors.

Rule 19:
বর্ণ, সংখ্যা বা প্রতীককে plural করতে apostrophe ( ’ ) ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
- There are five M.A’s in our village.
- Add four 3’s and five 2’s.

Rule 20:
কিছু noun রয়েছে যাদের singular ও plural ভিন্ন অর্থ প্রকাশ করে।

বিভিন্ন প্রকার pronoun এর singular form-

Rule 22:
Material noun গুলোর সাধারণত plural হয় না। যেমন- water, sugar, iron, cooper, oil, silver, wood, etc.

Rule 23:
Abstract noun এর plural form হয় না. যেমন- kindness, hope, charity, love, honesty, etc.

Rule 24:
বিদেশী ভাষা থেকে আগত কিছু উল্লেখযোগ্য শব্দের plural form-
